The 4 attributes of EQ
1. Self management – ability to control impulsive feelings and behaviors, manage emotions, take initiative, follow through on commitments, adapt to change
2. Self awareness – recognize your emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behaviors, know your strengths and weaknesses, self confidence
3. Social awareness – empathy, understanding the emotions, needs and concerns of other people, picking up on emotional clues, feeling comfortable socially, and recognize power dynamics in a group or organization
4. Relationship management - knowing how to develop and maintain good relationships, communicate clearly, inspire and influence others, work well in a team, and manage conflict
