I have given myself the opportunities in my career to work with a vast range of individuals and couples to help them grow personally and professionally to reach their own potential within their lives. I have worked with eating disorders, many types of addiction and traumas, anxiety, depression and identity. I am strength based to help you identify your strengths to increase self-esteem, self-respect and trust within yourself. I use different modalities of therapy to explore your understanding of yourself and education to grow within your strengths and knowledge to be your own therapist one day. I specialize in trauma recovery, loss and grief, extreme anxiety and depression through individual and couples counseling. I strive to educate and encourage to understand the questions you have within yourself and your environment to grow and find your true potential to reach the goals you desire to create and achieve in your life. I am realistic and have faith in my clients which allows me to be open and honest for your growth. If you are willing to do the work, I am willing to be your guide to unlock your true potential.

Jessica Garrett, LMSW

I’m a passionate and dedicated therapist specializing in supporting adolescents, college students, and adults navigating various mental health challenges. I’m a graduate of Binghamton University, where I earned my LMSW degree. I am deeply committed to helping clients achieve their goals and foster meaningful changes in their lives.


My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, combining trauma-informed care, person-centered techniques, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. This diverse skill set equips me to address a wide range of issues, including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. I believe in providing compassionate support, creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.


What sets me apart is my ability to reveal different perspectives, guiding clients through various life transitions with an uplifting and supportive attitude. I strive to empower individuals on their therapeutic journey, helping them uncover strengths and develop coping strategies to navigate life's challenges successfully.

Vanessa Miller, LCSW-R

Psychotherapist

Vanessa Miller, LCSW-R, enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and couples. She received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Vanessa has special interest working with clients with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy with cognitive behavioral, dialectical and strengths-based approaches to help clients learn coping skills to improve their lives.

Barbara Ann Stager, LCSW

Therapist

Barbara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed to practice in the state of New York. She began her career in mental health in 1987 working with children, adolescents, and families. She has experience working in case management, residential facilities, wrap-around foster care, and outpatient mental health facilities. She has training in trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Systems Theory, social skills, play therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her clinical interest is in the treatment of adolescents and adults with a variety of issues, including: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, PTSD, life transition issues, job stress, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and parenting. Barb is located in our Elmira office.

Kendyl Tokar, LMSW

Kendyl is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State. Kendyl earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work at SUNY Binghamton University in 2024. Prior to earning her Master’s Degree, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from SUNY Binghamton University in 2020. Kendyl has experience working with individuals across diverse backgrounds and life stages, and strives to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and collaborative. Kendyl uses an eclectic, trauma-informed, person-centered approach to therapy, drawing from various evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each client. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness, her practice supports individuals working through a broad spectrum of mental health and life challenges, including-but not limited to-anxiety, depression, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and substance use. Kendyl works with children, teens, and adults, tailoring her approach to fit each person’s stage of life and goals for therapy. Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time or are looking for a space to engage in deeper, long–term work, Kendyl will walk alongside you to support your goals at your own pace.
